Brightline has officially unveiled its new station at Orlando International Airport. The high-speed passenger rail company announced Thursday that tickets for rides outside the Orlando station will go on sale in May, with one-way sales starting at $79 for their Smart seats and $149 for their Premium seats . There will be packages available for families of four that will cost less than $199 one way. While tickets go on sale next month, Brightline has not yet announced when the service will begin from Orlando. However, they say the trains will be operational by the summer of 2023. There will be 16 daily round trips departing every hour between Miami and Orlando. The one-way trip from Orlando to their Miami station on their nonstop train will take three hours. There will be other train options from Orlando that will stop in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Aventura. Weekday trains departing Orlando will include: Hourly Southbound departures from Orlando to Miami starting at 5:00 AM until 8:50 PM First southbound train from Orlando arrives in Miami at 8:30 AM Hourly Departures north from Miami to Orlando starting at 6:50am until 9:45pm First northbound train from Miami arrives in Orlando at 10:15am Their weekend train schedule departing from Orlando will include: Hourly departures to south from Orlando to Miami from 5:00am until 8:50pm First southbound train from Orlando arrives in Miami at 8:30am Hourly departures northbound from Miami to Orlando from 5:45am until 9:45pm The first northbound train from Miami arrives in Orlando at 9:15 a.m. The 37,350-square-foot station is adjacent to Orlando International Airport’s Terminal C and connects directly to the airport’s C parking garage. Once outbound service from Orlando begins, passengers will be able to park there or at the South Park Place Economy Lot, which drops passengers off at Terminal C. Garage C is $19 for a 24-hour period, while South Park Place Economy Lot costs $10 for a 24-hour period. Park Garage C will have 350 parking spaces available for passengers. Once inside the station, passengers can purchase tickets from guest services or from one of several self-service kiosks. -service if they have not purchased tickets in advance. You can also check your bags before going through the touchless turnstiles in the security check tunnel. Passengers will not be allowed to bring alcohol or weapons through the security checkpoint. However, alcohol for consumption can be purchased inside the station as well as on the train.
